AIETIEl 8º Congreso Internacional de la Asociación Ibérica de Estudios de Traducción e Interpretación (AIETI8) se celebrará entre los días 8-10 de marzo de 2017 en la Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.

El principal objetivo consiste en dar continuidad a la labor del diálogo y el intercambio de experiencias y proyectos llevados a cabo en anteriores congresos entre los profesionales del sector y la comunidad académica, las autoridades educativas y las instituciones públicas y privadas, así como con los estudiantes y el público interesado en la comunicación intercultural en general, y en la traducción e interpretación en particular.

The Second International Conference on Translation, Ideology and Gender is being organized around the general idea of addressing issues related to the representation of gender in translated discourses and the ideological implications the shifts of meaning may bear on female image construction. The conference stems from the Ministry funded research project TRACEgen (TRADUCCIÓN Y CENSURA EN LA REPRESENTACIÓN DEL GENERO: FFI2012-39012-C04-04), which focuses on studying the incidence of censorship on gender as manifested in the discourse of the health sciences.
