II CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL LITERATURA y FRANQUISMO – Ortodoxias y Heterodoxias

The second Literatura y Franquismo conference, held at the University of Alcalá on 19, 20, 21 and 22 October 2021, consolidated this meeting place, bringing together, despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, more participants than the first edition. On this occasion, the academic dialogue on the ways in which Francoism determined the literature produced under his yoke included a large number of speakers from the perspective of cultural and gender studies, which allowed the epistemological range of the congress to be broadened, without neglecting studies on censorship and repression, the publishing and theatrical field, and poetics and the literary canon.

Members of the TRACE team took part in the conference.

I CONGRESO INTERNACIONAL LITERATURA Y FRANQUISMO – ORTODOXIAS Y HETERODOXIAS

The first conference Literature and Francoism, held at the University of Alcalá on 19, 20, 21 and 22 November 2019, took the 80th anniversary of the beginning of Franco’s dictatorship as the most appropriate occasion to continue reflecting, within the framework of the debates on historical and cultural memory present in Spanish society, on the way in which Francoism conditioned literary production, dissemination and reception between 1939 and 1975.

Members of the TRACE team took part in the event.
