“In Sickness and in Health”

The Second International Conference on Translation, Ideology and Gender is being organized around the general idea of addressing issues related to the representation of gender in translated discourses and the ideological implications the shifts of meaning may bear on female image construction. The conference stems from the Ministry funded research project TRACEgen (TRADUCCIÓN Y CENSURA EN LA REPRESENTACIÓN DEL GENERO: FFI2012-39012-C04-04), which focuses on studying the incidence of censorship on gender as manifested in the discourse of the health sciences.

THE 2ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR HISPANIC DIGITAL HUMANITIES
The international association for Hispanic Digital Humanities (HDH) will host its second international conference at the UNED in Madrid, on 5-7 October, 2015.
Organised under the title “Innovation, Globalization and Impact,” the conference aims to promote and disseminate research being developed in Spain in the Digital Humanities, and to establish relationships among researchers and experts, both in Spain and abroad, who are developing these tools in their work.
